Powder Coating
The usual processes for powder coatings are:
- Dry blend: Dry mixture of the metallic pigment to the vehicle of the powder coating;
- Extrusion: dispersion of the metallic pigment in the vehicle of the powder coating with the use of the extrusion process, with the fusion of resin(s)
The metallic pigment effect when applied to powder coatings, suffers negative interference due to the great mechanic efforts and high temperatures the process requires, causing oxidation and damage to the particles.
General orientation for paint formulation
