Water Based Systems
Due to the concern in development of paint systems, which are not harmful to the environment and according to the international policies and rules regarding the minimization in use of organic solvents in paint formulation, ALDORO developed aluminium pigments for use in water based systems.
These pastes have specially treated particles for being dispersible in water and at same time do not suffer oxidation with a consequent release of hydrogen.General orientation for paint formulation

Metallic Pigment |
• 10 to 20% of STANLUX HYDRO |
Resins |
• Alquidics, Melaminics, Acrylics and other water-based resins |
Solvents |
• Deionized water mixed with co-solvents (Glycols) |
Additives |
• Dimethylethanolamine (for pH stabilization between 7 and 8). Avoid use of Triethylamine (extremely reactive with aluminium) |
General Observations |
• The incorporation should be made by pre-dispersion in deionized water/glycol. |
